WEEKLONG SUMMER CAMP DETAILS
DESCRIPTION:
Our week long summer camps cover every aspect of the game of baseball including pitching mechanics, catcher skills, infield play, outfield play, hitting, base running and the often forgotten mental game. We place a large emphasis on good sportsmanship, positive attitude, 100% effort & controlled emotions. Participants will be separated by age and skill level and rotate through several fundamental skill stations. There will also be daily contests with prizes and instructional scrimmage games each afternoon. As always, each day will end with a "Final
Thought" which will cover different aspects of the mental side of the game of baseball.
ALL NEW! We will be providing evaluations on performance and performance improvements throughout the week. Areas to be evaluated will be home to first times, home to third times, throwing accuracy, fielding consistency. hitting for power, hitting for average, bunting ability, game performance and attitude. Each participant will receive a evaluation sheet showing their performance at the beginning of the week and what improvements they made by the end of the week.
NEW CAMP SCHEDULE! All Summer Camps will be conducted from 9:00am-2:00pm. Due to past experiences with extremely hot weather and camper fatigue we have decided to shorten our camp times and end each day at 2:00 - prior to the hottest part of the day.
CAMP FEE INFO:
Half Day Option (9:00am-12:00pm Daily) = $135.00 per player ($115.00 per additional sibling)
Full Day Option (9:00am-2:00pm Daily) = $200.00 per player ($180.00 per additional sibling)
PLEASE READ! When registering on-line, you will need to "build" your registration. If you are planning on having your child attend only half days, you will need to click on the Half Day Option. You will then need to add any other options you are interested in from there (i.e. - Extended Care, Cancellation Protection, Equipment and/or merchandise). EXTENDED CARE DETAILS:
Camp will begin at 9:00am and end at 2:00pm each day. If you need to drop your child off early and/or pick them up late we do provide Extended Care. Extended Care camp hours are from 8:00am - 3:00pm each day (The camp director and/or a staff member will be on site early and leave late for anyone needing to drop off early and/or pick up late). Extended Care fee's are as follows (You only have to pay for Extended Care once if you have multiple children attending camp):
Early Drop-Off = $3.00 per day ($15.00 for the week)

CATCHERS CAMP DETAILS
DESCRIPTION:
This three day camp will cover every aspect of the position of catcher in both baseball and softball. On staff will be a select number of pro coaches that have played the position either in college and/or professionally and have a clear understanding of the "in's and out's" of the position. It takes a unique athlete to play the position of catcher and also takes a unique coach that has experienced the position to teach it.

Day #2 - Fundamentals of Throwing, Bunt Plays and Pop-ups

HOME RUNS FOR HUNGER
HITTING
CLINIC & HOMERUN DERBY DETAILS
Description: The Home Runs for Hunger Program is designed to help out less fortunate families during the holidays by providing food for both Thanksgiving and Christmas meals. We will be donating all of the non- perishable food items brought to us for registration to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. The hitting clinic will prepare all participants for the following days Home Run Derby Contest.
Details: For the HITTING CLINIC the players will be separated into groups by age and skill level and will rotate through several fundamental skill stations covering every aspect of hitting in baseball with a focus on how to generate more power in their swing. We will conduct drills for improving consistency, balance, vision, timing and discuss the importance of confidence and courage at the plate.
For the HOME RUN DERBY participants will be separated into groups by AGE only. They will rotate around 4 stations including Warm-up (Batting Practice), Competition, Shagging and Home Run Shagging. During the Competition station each participant will be given one round of 5 practice swings and one round of 10 competition swings. The 3 players from the group with the highest number of home runs will advance to the semi-finals which will be another round of 10 swings. The 2 players with the highest number of home runs will advance to the finals which will be one final round of 5 swings. The player with the highest total of home runs in the final round will be the winner. The highest home run total and the farthest home run will be awarded prizes provided by Kelley Athletic.
HITTING CLINIC (October 10th) times: 10:00am - 1:00pm (REGISTER NOW!)
HOME RUN DERBY (October 11th) times: 10:00am - Finish (2:00pm-3:00pm)

SPECIALIZED PITCHER/CATCHER CLINIC DETAILS
Description: These clinics are designed for players aged 8-13 years old (unless otherwise stated on the calendar). The purpose of these clinics is to help improve each participants pitching and/or catching ability by teaching them the fundamentals of each skill.

Details: The players will be separated into groups by age and skill
level and will rotate through several fundamental skill stations
covering every aspect of the skills involved with each position.
For the pitching sessions we will cover proper throwing form,
the steps to the mechanics for both the wind up and stretch, pitch
grips and fielding. For the catcher sessions we will cover the fundamentals of receiving, blocking and throwing (the BIG 3 of
catching). Each session will also include contests and games. We
also discuss the importance of confidence, maintaining a positive attitude, giving 100% effort and controlling your emotions...all characteristics of a player with good sportsmanship - being a
GAMER.
TIMES: 9:00am - 12:00pm (Pitching Session) and 1:00pm - 4:00pm (Catchers Session) (unless otherwise noted on the camp calendar).

FALL PITCHERS SCHOOL DETAILS
DESCRIPTION:
This six session series will cover every aspect of the position of pitcher in baseball. Each session will be dedicated to one or
two specific skills required to be a successful pitcher. On staff will be
a select number of pro coaches that have played the position either in college and/or professionally and have a clear understanding of the
"in's and out's" of the position.
DETAILS:
The schedule is as follows:
Session #1 - Understanding throwing/pitching mechanics
Session #2 - Steps to the mechanics (wind up & stretch)
Session #3 - Pitching to a target / Understanding hitters
Session #4 - Develop a second pitch / Bullpens
Session #5 - Bullpens / Pitchers Fielding Practice
Session #6 - Review & Contests

DESCRIPTION:

two specific aspects of hitting that are required to be a successful hitter. On staff will be
a select number of pro coaches that have played baseball either in college and/or professionally and have a clear understanding of the
"in's and out's" of the skill of hitting.
DETAILS:
The schedule is as follows:
Session #1 - Drills for vision (seeing the ball better)
Session #2 - Drills for balance (staying under control throughout the swing)
Session #3 - Drills for timing (staying back and being on time)
Session #4 - Drills for consistent bat path for more consistent contact
Session #5 - Hitting the off speed pitch (change ups and curve balls)
Session #6 - Review & Contests

Increase your bat speed by improving
your "swing strength" and swing mechanics! |

PROGRAM DETAILS:
Our Bat Speed Program is an extensive 8 week program that is designed to improve a players bat speed through improved strength and swing mechanics.
Participants will be put through a 10 minute, active dynamic warm up, a 30 minute strength or power workout to improve their "swing strength" and 20 minutes of hitting drills to improve swing mechanics. The workouts are designed specifically for improving swing strength including lower body strength, hand, wrist & forearm strength, rotational power and core strength & stability.
COST:
$400.00 for eight, 60 minute workouts
(That is $50.00 per workout)

All individual & small group workouts are 60 minutes long while all team workouts are 90 minutes long.
Team workouts are $5.00 per player for a 90 minute workout (Minimum 10 players). They are handled on a case by case basis so please call for details (775) 997-9541.
